YS Royal Clipper The largest true sailing ship, Royal Clipper is the first five masted ship built in 100 years and is fully rigged. It features a three deck high atrium and offers a casual cruise experience with period elegance. Passengers on the Royal Clipper tend to be 45 average and American & European. There is a piano lounge, observation lounge & card room. Glass port holes in the captain nemo club allow sea life viewing when in anchor. Passengers can climb to various high lookout points aboard ship. Wheelchair access is unsuitable. This ship has no facilities for children or wheelchair passengers and therefore is unsuitable in both cases.
SV Star Clipper The tall four-masted barkentine rigged ship has fine lines and provides the experience of clipper sailing with some of the amenities of a cruise ship. The dcor is Edwardian and the experience totally informal and carefree. Passengers on the Star Clipper tend to be 45 average and American & European. This ship is designed for those with an interest in sailing, as passengers are encouraged to participate in hauling the sails. There is a piano lounge with live music and daily talks from the captain about the forthcoming sailing itinerary. Wheelchair access is unsuitable. This ship has no facilities for children or wheelchair passengers and therefore is unsuitable in both cases.
