MV Lirica
This new cruise ship is designed by Italians for Europeans and provides good passenger flow and tasteful dcor in the good range of public rooms. It features a wide range of sporting, entertainment and dining options and is good for families. Passengers on the Lirica tend to be younger, families and Italian & other Europeans. Professional and multilingual entertainment is provided in the tiered Broadway Theatre. Other venues are the Lirica Show Lounge, the Blue Club disco, a virtual reality centre and the internet caf. Wheelchair access is good. Although general access for wheelchairs is good, the top two decks cannot be reached. There is a fully supervised children's recreation centre and programme of activities.
MV Melody
This Italian family cruise ship will provide a good basic cruise holiday in comfortable and sometimes noisy surroundings. There are plenty of spacious public rooms. Passengers on the Melody tend to be younger, families and Italian & other Europeans. The entertainment is provided in the single tier Mercury Theatre, Club Universe, Junkanoo Club and Starlight disco. There are plenty of public rooms and bars including Blue Riband, Goombay, Calypso, Junkanoo and an observation lounge. Wheelchair access is acceptable. There is a fully supervised children's recreation centre and they have their own pool.
SS Monterey
This cruise ship has a traditional liner profile, is very stable at sea and has an adequate number of public rooms. It offers lively high density budget cruising to Italian and other European passengers. Passengers on the Monterey tend to be younger, families and Italian & other Europeans. The charming two level dining room is on a low deck and can be noisy when full. It serves excellent pasta and the service is attentive and friendly but sometimes hurried. Informal meals are available in the caf overlooking the stern pool. Wheelchair access is unsuitable. There are no facilities for disabled passengers. There are no special arrangements for children although they are welcome.
MV Opera
This new cruise ship is designed by Italians for Europeans and provides good passenger flow and tasteful dcor in the good range of public rooms. It features a wide range of sporting, entertainment and dining options and is good for families. Passengers on the Opera tend to be younger, families and Italian & other Europeans. There are two large pools. Sports include a jogging track, aerobics, golf simulator, mini golf, basketball, volleyball, table tennis etc. The fitness centre has a gym, sauna, treatment rooms and a beauty salon. Wheelchair access is good. Although general access for wheelchairs is good, the top two decks cannot be reached. There is a fully supervised children's recreation centre and programme of activities
MSC Armonia
The new ship Armonia was formerly the European Vision and is designed for Europeans and provides good passenger flow and tasteful dcor in the good range of public rooms. It features a wide range of sporting, entertainment and dining options Passengers on the Armonia tend to be younger, families and Italian & other Europeans.Onboard currency is the euro. On the Armonia cabins with a balcony are spacious and feature a sitting area and bath. Other cabins are medium sized, well equipped with aircon, minibar, fridge and have adequate storage. Bathrooms have a reasonably sized shower. The Marco Polo and La Pergola main restaurants offer good food and service. Il Girasole is a reservations only Italian restaurant. Self service dining is available in Le Bistrot Cafeteria and the 24 hour Grill offering outdoor eating. The dress code is casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress is smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). Formal evenings require a suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies. The rating for children on the Armonia is very Good. Children aged 3-12 are well catered for with qualified staff organising such activities as clowns, drawing contests and sports competitions. Teenagers have their own dance floor, karaoke and video games. There is also a baby sitting service.
MSC Sinfonia
This new ship is designed for Europeans and provides good passenger flow and tasteful dcor in the good range of public rooms. It features a wide range of sporting, entertainment and dining options Passengers on the Sinfonia tend to be younger, families and Italian & other Europeans.On the Sinfonia there are two large pools. Sports include a jogging track, gym, aerobics, golf simulator, mini golf, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and a climbing wall. The fitness centre has a gym, sauna, treatment rooms and a beauty salon. The Napoleon and Da Giacomo restaurants on the Sinfonia offer good food and reasonable service. Informal dining is available in La Terrazza Cafeteria and the 24 hour Grill Da Teodoro offering outdoor eating. Dress code on the Sinfonia is casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress is smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). Formal evenings require a suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies.
MSC Rhapsody
The Rhapsody is a good looking ship which has a good selection of attractive public rooms. It offers high density budget cruising to predominantly Italian and other European passengers. Passengers on the Rhapsody tend to be younger, families and Italian & other Europeans. The dining room on the Rhapsody has large picture windows and is pleasant.The Food is Italian and standard banquet fare with friendly and attentive service. Alternative dining is available at the Outrigger Caf. There is plenty of open deck space for sunbathing. The Show Boat show lounge is single level (with some poor sight lines). However there are many public rooms including an indoor/outdoor nightclub and bar, cinema/theatre, piano bar and observation lounge. Dress code on the Rhapsody is casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress is smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). Formal evenings require a suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies. The rating for children is Acceptable. There is a fully supervised children's recreation centre and they have their own pool.
