MS Aquamarine Previously a Royal Caribbean ship the MS Aquamarine cruise ship has good lines and a modern look. Cruises are casual, fun, good value but busy. Interior dcor is bright. Passengers on the Aquamarine tend to be mixed ages and European. Cabins are small, sound insulation is poor and there is little storage space. Careful clothes selection is required. Open deck space on the Aquamarine is limited and can get crowded and noisy . There is a wrap around promenade deck. The sports desk offers aerobics, basketball, badminton, golf putting, table tennis, water polo, aqua aerobics. The large but noisy Camelot dining room has tight space between tables. Catering is reasonably good but the choice is limited. Service is friendly and fast. Entertainment is provided in the Carousel, Showboat or Midsummer Night Lounges with stage shows and cabaret.Dress code on the Aquamarine is casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress tends to be smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). On formal evenings you can wear a suit or even a dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies. The rating for children is Good. There are Children's clubs for various ages and plenty of activities.
MS Sapphire The MS Sapphire is a handsome but busy ship with attractively decorated interiors offers good value budget cruising. Passengers on the Sapphire tend to be mixed ages and European. Cabins are reasonably sized but have limited clothing and drawer space. All bathrooms are small and tiled. The room service menu is very limited. This Sapphire has limited leisure facilities with good open deck space for sunbathing but can be crowded when full. The pool is heated however small. The dining room has a raised centre, with art-deco style. It is busy and offers attentive, friendly service a good level of budget international cuisine. The Caf de Paris provides casual dining with poolside views. Harry's bar can get busy as a meeting and drinking point offering a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The cinema is small but offers comfortable seating.Dresscode on the Sapphire is casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress tends to be smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). On formal evenings you can wear a suit or even a dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies. The rating for children is unsuitable.
MS Serenade The MS Serenade is an older ship which has traditional lines and has a good sized main lounge but few other public rooms. It is dated in style and well worn. Passengers on the Serenade tend to be mixed ages and European. Cabins are comfortable but basic and quite small with a reasonable amount of storage space and twin beds. Bathrooms are tiny with no storage facilities for any toiletries but bathrobes are provided. This MS Serenade has limited leisure facilities, however there is a good spa featuring hydrotherapy treatments, a solarium and two small pools. The main dining room provides reasonable food with friendly and attentive service from an international waiting staff. There is a separate Grill Room for informal dining.Dress code on the Serenade is Casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress tends to be smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). On formal evenings you can wear a suit or even a dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies. The rating for children is Unsuitable.
