MV Queen Elizabeth 2 This classic cruise ship is still the fastest ocean liner afloat. Refurbished in 1999 it offers graceful dcor reminiscent of yesteryear and operates 3 classes: Grill, Caronia and Mauretania for cabins and restaurants rated: luxury, premier and superior. Passengers on the Queen Elizabeth 2 tend to be Discerning 50+ and British & American. The QE2 offers a wide range of cabins from compact to spacious, all well equipped with large bathroom cabinets. Suites have wood walls, furniture and huge marble bathrooms. Cabin prices vary accordingly. Wheelchair access is good. There are a number of well thought out cabins for wheelchair passengers featuring a wide door with no lip, switches and units at the right level, intercom, alarm and remote control lighting. There is a good children's teen club with childminders.
MS Queen Mary 2 Claiming to be the Queen of all Ocean Liners and a worthy successor to the great transatlantic liners of the past, QM2 is the largest cruise ship afloat. Interiors are grand, stylish and spacious. Passengers on the Queen Mary 2 tend to be Discerning 50+ and British & American. The three main dining rooms Queen's Grill, Princess Grills and 3 storey Britannia Restaurant are allocated according to cabin grade. All provide excellent cuisine and service . There are several other dining options. Wheelchair access is good. Children are catered for in the play zone with various activities. Teenagers have a video arcade.
