Costa Allegra A converted container ship that has been transformed in to a fun cruise ship, she has lots of glass and a nicely decorated interior. Passengers on the Costa Allegra tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly Italian with other Europeans. The outdoor deck space is good for the sunbathers and cushioned pads are provided for the outdoor lounge chairs. The cruise ship has a jogging track, glass walled fitness centre offering sea views and roman baths. Wheelchair access is unsuitable. The playroom is small and inadequate for large numbers of children and facilities are limited.

Costa Atlantica This is new modern cruise ship is dedicated to the Italian film director, Fellini and features a seven deck high atrium and a large number of cabins with balconies. Passengers on the Costa Atlantica tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly Italian with other Europeans. There is an outdoor jogging track, gym, fitness centre, solarium, treatment rooms, sauna , steam room and a multi sports court for tennis, basketball and volleyball. The ship has 3 swimming pools, one with a magradome cover and a two deck water slide. Wheelchair access is good. There is a children's play room for younger ages. Teenagers have a video games room and an internet caf.

Costa Classica The cruise ship interior utilises modern Italian design and style in presenting a good range of public rooms and a multi level atrium. Cabins, restaurants and public areas have been recently refurbished. Passengers on the Costa Classica tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly Italian with other Europeans. Cabins are a good size, with practical design, well sound insulated and equipped with vanity desk, mirror, and minibar. The cabin service menu is limited. Wheelchair access is good. The children's club has a play room. For teenagers there is a video games room and internet caf.

Costa Europa This well run cruise ship,offers elegant and spacious interiors and attracts families with children. Passengers on the Costa Europa tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly Italian with other Europeans. There is an outdoor jogging track, gym, fitness centre, solarium, treatment rooms, sauna , steam room and a multi sports court for tennis, basketball and volleyball. One pool has a magradome cover but it is a bit small. Wheelchair access is acceptable. The squok club caters well for children and has a play room. For teenagers there is a video games room and internet caf.

Costa Fortuna This is the largest of the new Costa cruise ships and the largest ever Italian cruise ship. It features elegant and spacious interiors and a wide range of facilities. Passengers on the Costa Fortuna tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly Italian with other Europeans. Entertainment is provided in the three level Rex 1932 Theatre and Leonardo da Vinci Show Lounge. There is a plentiful amount of lounges and bars as wel as the Conte Verde Dance Hall and the Vulcania Disco. Wheelchair access is good. There is a children's splash pool, water chute, supervised playroom and activities for all ages. For teenagers there is a video games room and internet caf.

Costa Mediterranea This is one of the latest and largest of the new Costa cruise ships and features elegant Italian interiors including a Central Hall that spans 8 decks and a wide range of facilities. Passengers on the Costa Mediterranea tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly Italian with other Europeans. The Argentieri is the main large dining room on two levels where cuisine, presentation and service is good. Alternative dining is provided at the Medusa Club (reservations required) and the Perla del Lago provides buffet breakfast and lunch. Wheelchair access is good. The squok club caters well for children and has a play room, and swimming pool. For teenagers there is a video games room and internet caf.

Costa Romantica This Italian design cruise ship utilises tasteful designs and style in presenting a good range of public rooms. The multi deck atrium provides space and light but some areas of the cruise ship can be noisy. Passengers on the Costa Romantica tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly Italian with other Europeans. The suites have a separate living area and some have forward facing views and some balconies. Cabins are a good size with a wooden finish and the bathrooms are small. Wheelchair access is good. The children's club has a play room. For teenagers there is a video games room and internet caf. This is a good ship for families with children although quite noisy. It has been redecorated since its transfer from Carnival and its interiors are well laid out. Passengers on the Costa Tropicale tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly Italian with other Europeans.

Costa Victoria This boldly styled cruise ship has a distinctly European dcor and features a four deck high observation lounge and a seven deck high atrium. Passengers on the Costa Victoria tend to be lively, mixed ages and mostly Italian with other Europeans. The entertainment is provided in the two tiered Festival Show Lounge, Grand bar, Rock star disco, card room and casino. There is a Cone shaped waterfall and a four deck high observation lounge with a glass lift. Wheelchair access is good. Wheelchair cabins have two separate bathrooms and are all well positioned (close to the lifts or in the centre of the ship). There is a children's play room for younger ages. Teenagers have a video games room and an internet caf.
